Buffalo State University
Clinically Rich Intensive Teacher Institute in Bilingual Education (CR-ITI BE)
The Buffalo State University CR-ITI BE project will recruit and prepare pre- and in-service teachers among partner schools to provide bilingual services, utilizing a comprehensive 15-credit Bilingual Inclusive Education Graduate Certificate Program. Funding will cover tuition, fees, and certification support.

Additionally, they now have Ukrainian tests in Reading Comprehension and Math, and have updated their French Reading Comprehension test. The Ukrainian and French Reading Comprehension tests include an Early Literacy component for students who are not yet able to read at the sentence level.
The MLS Help Center has detailed instructions for administering the MLS and how to use the MLS for SIFE identification. RISLUS also offers resources to help you learn more about your students.

NYSESLAT—Determining an English Language Learner’s (ELL) English Language Proficiency Level Memo Now Available
The scale score ranges for the 2024 New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT), along with guidance and information concerning the interpretation of the scale scores, are now available at this link.
The NYSESLAT scale score ranges associated with the proficiency levels for Grades K-12 are the same as the scale score ranges established following the 2016 administration, with the exception of Grade 1. In 2024, a Standard Setting was conducted to establish the new scale score ranges for the Grade 1 NYSESLAT first administered earlier that spring.
